Schema and JSON-LD Checker

Finds the JSON-LD on a page, checks each block parses, and lists the types and their key properties.

Enter a page. Peach reads every JSON-LD block in its HTML and reports what each one describes. It makes one request for a public page. It needs JavaScript to run; the explanation below does not.

What this checks, and what it does not

It checks

  • Every script of type application/ld+json in the raw HTML, and whether it parses as JSON.
  • The schema.org types found, including items nested in a @graph.
  • For 13 common types, which of their key properties are present: for example name, url, logo and sameAs on Organization.

It does not

  • It does not validate against any search engine's rich result rules.
  • It does not find structured data that JavaScript injects after the page loads.
  • It does not check that the values are true.

How to read the result

A block that does not parse is the one result that needs fixing straight away: a single missing comma means no reader can use any of it.

"Not present" against a property is a prompt, not an error. An Organization with no sameAs links simply gives a reader less to connect your site to your other profiles.

Frequently asked questions

Which type should a homepage have?

Organization is the common one: it states the name, address of the site, logo and links to official profiles in a form that needs no interpretation.

Does structured data make AI engines cite a page?

Nobody outside those companies can say. What it does is state facts about the page unambiguously, which removes one way of being misread.

What about microdata and RDFa?

Microdata types are listed if present. RDFa is not read.

Check whether AI names your brand
